Softimage Certified Instructor (SCI) Program

The Softimage Certified Instructor (SCI) Program was developed for 3D professionals who are interested in teaching with SOFTIMAGE®|XSI® in educational institutions, training centers, or as corporate trainers or freelancers.

Softimage Certified Instructors are recognized by Softimage as being knowledgeable and current on XSI technology, and as having the proper presentation skills to explain and teach the software.

SCI Program Process

Step One: Application

In order to be considered for the Softimage Certified Instructor Program, applicants must complete an application designed to assess product and industry knowledge. Completed applications will be evaluated by a member of the Softimage Training Team. (See below for program pre-requisites).

Upon review of the application, a member of the Softimage Training Team will contact an applicant via email confirming that they are eligible for the program, and possibly will conduct a telephone interview to further assess eligibility. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements will be informed via email by a member of the Softimage Training Team.

Step 2: Examination

Candidates who meet the preliminary criteria for acceptance into the SCI Program will then receive access to Softimage Training content, a written exam and a temporary license of SOFTIMAGE|XSI. Candidates have 90 days to complete the exam.

Step 3: Assessment & Approval

Completed exams and videos will be assessed by a member of the Softimage Training Team who will make a determination based on the application as a whole.  Final review for approval to become a SCI might require a candidate to submit to an additional oral exam, by telephone or in person. Once a candidate successfully completes the application process, passes the exam, submits the required forms and agreements, Softimage will provide the candidate with a signed and numbered “Softimage Certified Instructor” certificate, an official logo for promotional use and a listing on the Certified Instructor page at www.softimage.com.
