How to Activate SOFTIMAGE|XSI Essentials


Windows


New Customers:
Install XSI with a local license server. See the XSI and Local License Server quick start on the Softimage wiki.
For other setup configurations, please see our Quick Start help page.

Existing Customers:
If you are eligible for the upgrade from previous versions (6.5 or earlier) to 7.0, please see the maintenance/upgrade instructions.

If you upgrading to XSI version 7.01 from 7.0 you do not need to update your licenses. Your existing 7.0 licenses are valid for both versions.


Linux


You may obtain your licenses from the customer portal Get License page.
For additional help, please see the v7 installation instructions.

Notice to nVIDIA GeForce users

The compatibility issues with XSI 7 and nVIDIA GeForce release driver versions prior to 177.92 have been addressed in the latest nVIDIA GeForce drivers. For the complete list please refer to Fixed Bugs . TnVIDIA GeForce drivers are now available for download on www.nvidia.com.
